Bing Or Google?

It looks like Bing has made quite a splash as THE new search tool. I haven't quite made up my mind just yet. Microsoft must be pleased with the attention Bing has been receiving from the under 30 crowd. My 22 year old son told me to check it out. To me, it looks like an Ajaxed Google. I've been faithfully searching with Google for around 10 years now. I was faithful when everyone else was Yahooing. I may be Binging soon. Microsoft has taken many important cues from Google, and expanded on them as only a multibillion dollar company can.

The homepage is always breathtaking and clickable, with several hotspots to keep it interesting. I can still perceive a heavy Google influence. I can't help thinking about Google Earth whenever I navigate the homepage. Bing has made it easy for you to enjoy their stunning homepage photos, over and over again. By installing Microsoft's Silverlight on your computer, you can go back and see the homepage images and hotspots from the past week. I think that would make a terrific slideshow. I guess there is one important fact you can't overlook...It's A Search Engine.

The search interface is easy enough, it looks like MSN's. There is a tiny bit more information given on your search topic when you hover your cursor, in the margins. I would have to give the title of "best deliverer" of search results to Google. Bing's got a ways to go before surpassing Google in that area. Hey, Bing is a very attractive and innovative site. It's a very interesting site, and the presentation of the news and the other features is great. I don't think it will threaten Google's hold on searches...not yet anyway...but I will make it a daily stop, just for the graphics.
