How To Add Adsense To Your Drupal Site!
Google AdSense is an easy way for Drupal website owners to earn money by displaying targeted Google ads. Since we install Drupal websites at Dr Cyberspace, we will concentrate on installing Google Adsense to a Drupal site. Other types of sites are similar. You will earn money when visitors to your website click on or view the ads on your pages, depending on the type of Adsense ad that you display.
There are two types of AdSense for content, these can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) ads. For CPC ads, you earn money when your users click on the ads. For CPM ads, you earn money every time the ad appears to a user viewing your site. You decide whether you want (CPC) or (CPM) type ads.
You can also earn money from Google Adsense by adding Google search to your site. By placing an AdSense for search "search-box" on your site, AdSense for search lets you offer your users Google web search directly from your pages. You earn money from ads clicked by users in the search results pages.
The first thing you must do is sign up for Google Adsense. Click here to sign-up Google Adsense. The form is self explanatory, enter your website name and language you wish to use, and the rest is related to where you want your payments sent. You will set up a Google Adsense Account. To sign in to your AdSense account, follow these steps:
1. Visit Google Adsense
2. In the Existing AdSense Users box, enter the email address and password you supplied during signup.
3. Click Sign in to enter your account.
If this is your first time entering your account, you'll be asked to read and sign the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions. There's important information about the program, so take the time to read through these terms before proceeding.
Once you've read through the document, select the agreement checkbox and click I agree to continue to your account. If you already have a Google account, you will use the same user name and pwd.
Next, download the Adsense module to your computer. Using 7-Zip or similar tool, unpack the module into a file on your computer. Using Filezilla FTP or similar program, upload the adsense file to your sites/all/modules Drupal directory. Next, go to administer/modules on your Drupal site, enable all the packages you're interested in (enable them all).
Then go to "administer by module" and click the Publisher ID tab. Enter the Publisher ID from the Google Adsense Account you established earlier. The account ID begins with pub-, it should be in the upper right corner in your Google Adsense Account. Click "use the site Publisher ID always," save your changes. Click the settings tab, read it.
Go back to the Google Adsense Account, click on adsense setup and follow the steps. When you are done you will get html for your ad. Copy that html code into a block on your Drupal site. That's it, save the block and it's all automatic. If you have any questions, leave a comment.
