Twitter just announced a new feature called Lists, it looks very interesting, if you are a die hard Twit, Twitterer, or Tweeter.

It looks like Twitter has already found a way to spend some of that funding they secured last week. Twitter Lists will allow you to create a collection of niche Twitter accounts. For example, sports related, favorite athletes, or movie personalities, or just about anything you can think of, can be assembled into a list and displayed.

Twitter Lists will be public by default, but you can make them private if you like. The lists you create will be linked to your profile, so Twitter users will be able to subscribe to your lists. The Twitter Lists API hasn't been released yet, but Twitter is expected to release information concerning the Twitter Lists API in a few days. You will soon see Twitter Lists showing up in your favorite Twitter apps.
