Google Tasks Moves To The Big Screen
If you are like me and find that you need to keep track of your
tasks throughout the day, you will find Googles Tasks App very handy. It started off last year as an app for gmail. It has been available in google calendar and on your cell phone by going to gmail.com/tasks on your phones browser. Yesterday the Tasks app was given full page status in iGoogle.
Now you can keep track of your tasks for the day in iGoogle. Your tasks appear and are updated across the applications. If you enter a task in your cell phone, it updates in Google calendar by showing your tasks for that day, and it shows up on iGoogle. It's extremely helpful in keeping me ahead of the things I have to accomplish each day.
I've used Google for years, and it's the first thing I see when I start the day...online. The tasks list fits into the dashboard nicely, and you can easily see everything you have to do with the new full screen version. The only downside is that now I have no excuse for my procrastinations.
If you need help remembering everything you have to accomplish today, add it to your iGoogle App and every task you complete you can check it off the Tasks List. When you complete a task and no longer want it to appear on your list, click "Clear completed" in the actions menu, that removes it. You'll find yourself completing a lot more tasks, I promise you.

Google Adsense- New Promoted Videos
Have you noticed the new Promoted Videos in your adsense ads yet? It's a new method for increasing your adsense income. With the growing content producers on YouTube all looking for an audience, Google has just announced the launch of YouTube "Promoted Videos" in it's AdSense ad units. These new ad units are being displayed on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis.
The Promoted Videos feature a thumbnail image along with three lines of text, when you click the ad you are taken to view the video or channel on YouTube. They come in the standard ad sizes, Medium and Large Rectangle, Square and Small Square, and Leaderboard. If you want to opt-out from allowing the ads on your pages, you can prevent Promoted Videos from showing on your pages by adding "youtube.com" to your Competitive Ad Filter list.
Please note that currently, this method will block all Promoted Videos from your sites. Although the Promoted Videos resemble the standard Google video ad, the difference is, When the standard Google video ad is served to your page, it is displayed as a static opening image.
Once the user clicks the play button or the opening image, the video begins playing within the ad space.
For the time being, the "Promoted Video" ads are only available in the US, but Google says they're looking forward to expanding to additional regions and languages in the future. I think this is an excellent way to add adsense income to your website. It's one way to add videos to your page and get paid for it.
