Google created quite a stir on Wall Street last week with the release of its Android based navigation app. The announcement hammered the stock of the two biggest GPS firms Garmin and Tom Tom. The GPS navigation sector has been a high flying one recently, with prices to match.

Google just released their popular Google Latitude for the iPhone and the iPod touch. Google Latitude is currently available as a feature of Google Maps for mobile or as an iGoogle gadget for your PC.

Los Angeles, the nations second largest city, has been considering tossing it's current computer network, and using Google Apps instead. As you read here last week, Twitter, the popular communications company, was hacked recently, and the Google Apps program was involved.
